Origins of the name and the Blazon



The vault of the virgin of the church Martin saint arched of warheads with like reason for keystone
weapons of the family Malengue de Lespinasse:
three fish contrepassants which will become the official blazon of the commune.

ORIGIN OF THE NAME OF THE VILLAGE



As of the 10th century is attested a church dedicated in Saint Martin, called in the "Olonziacus villa",
who will become Olonzac then Lonzac.

This toponym would come from avellanica, the hazel tree.
